Landscaping in Goleta, CA
Goleta yards are mostly flat and family-sized, with heavy soil that holds water. Our work here usually starts with drainage and ends with a patio or yard people can actually use.
Goleta is flatter than most of the South Coast, and the soil in a lot of yards is heavy clay. After a storm, water sits in low spots and lawns thin out where it can't drain. Why does my Goleta yard stay wet after rain?
Often it's heavy clay soil on a flat lot, so the water has nowhere to go. The fix is usually a mix of regrading so water moves toward a drain, adding surface drains or a French drain, and loosening or amending the soil where plants will go.
Is artificial turf a good choice for a family yard?
It can be, especially where there's heavy foot traffic, pets, or a lawn that never stays green. It goes over a compacted base that drains. It costs more up front than sod and it gets warm in direct sun, so we talk through where it makes sense.
Can you replace an old sprinkler system in Goleta?
